Sultana Raisins – Iranian Small – 500g

Sun-dried seedless Small Sultana raisins (كشمش پلويي ريز) from the Takestan vineyards in Iran are naturally dark brown and mildly sweet. Perfect for cooking and baking, they enhance a variety of Persian rice dishes such as Baghali Polo, Adas Polo, Mash Polo, and are also ideal for festive dishes like Morasa Polo, as well as cakes and salads such as carrot cake with raisins or cabbage salad. They can also be enjoyed raw as a sweet addition to traditional Persian yogurt dishes like Mast-o-Khiar or Abdoogh Khiar, adding natural sweetness and a delightful texture.

For best results when adding to rice dishes, rinse and soak the raisins, then lightly sauté them in butter or oil to release their natural aroma before mixing into the rice.
